New Orleans is infamous for its spooky past, filled with tales of voodoo, vampires, ghosts, and witches. During this walking tour, save time with a guide who knows the quickest routes around the Big Easy and brings the folklore and history of the city to life, all during the creepiest time of day—the night. Plus, a centrally located meeting point makes for a hassle-free, fun evening.

This was a real eye opener...real history not what we have been told and read about..Th woman doing the lecturing was full of facts and history and a joy to listen to...You really should make this a stop and look at the articles, artifact and just plain get articulate about Black history in our country...Great Museum of Truth

This museum is smaller than some but the pieces here all tell a story. Our guide Kim was incredible and was extremely passionate about the pieces as she guided us through the museum. Will definitely go back.

I had an opportunity to visit the McKenna Museum of Art recently with my best friend, Cathy Hughes and a group of loved ones. We received a tour from the museum's docent, Kim and one of the founders, Dr. Dwight McKennastopped in for a bit to share his insights about how he started the collection and stories about some of the artists featured. Kim gave a was extremely knowledgeable and the collection is breathtaking. As a long time art collector, I was very impressed with the diversity of the artifacts, documents and art that share some of the history of American creativity. Works from Henry Ossawa Tanner to Romare Bearden, this collection, and not to mention the amazing building that it is housed in, is a fabulous place to learn more about New Orleans, the United States and in particular, the contributions of people of color. I will visit again and take guests. Do treat yourself to an uplifting and enchanting experience. Dyana Williams

Well, this was disappointing. My family was in town visiting from overseas and they really wanted to check out this museum. I called and scheduled an appointment for the six of us then later called back to confirm the appointment, but when we showed up for the tour, the gate was locked. When I tried calling, I got a message saying the voicemail box was full. And when I tried emailing, I never heard back. As it just so happened, someone else came by and said they, too, had been trying to see the museum, but every time they came, nobody was there to let them in. Moral of the story: You can't count on these people. Even if they confirm they are going to be there, there's a good chance they won't show. You're better off checking out some of the other museums around town.

This stunning house is filled with gorgeous pieces of art. What I liked is that there was a great range of art, some very recent pieces included. It also highlighted many pieces from up and coming New Orleans artists. A definite must see if coming to visit. Also looks like a great venue to rent for an event.
