i was at the convention center for a conference, and someone told me about this. it's basically right across the street from the convention center; a must see if in New Orleans.

Memorial to those who suffered during Hurricane Katrina. Located at 1101 Convention Center Boulevard on opposite side of street from convention center.

Stayed in the Hilton Garden Inn it's very close to this Nice little park right in front of the convention center. Commemorating those who were lost due to the Katrina hurricane.

Was in town for a conference at the convention center. I passed this sculpture a few times when going to/leaving the convention. It’s an interesting sculpture. Stop and check it out if you’re in the area.

The Scrap House Katrina Memorial Sculpture was built by New Orleans artist Sally Heller, and placed here, near the Convention Center on August 29, 2009, in the fourth anniversary of the storm.
