The Historic New Orleans Collection is a museum, research center, and publisher in the French Quarter. The Royal Street location offers free rotating exhibitions and guided tours, including the Williams Residence tour (a tour of the home of the museum's founders) and the Architecture and Courtyards tour. Tours are $5/person; check our website for tour times. The Williams Research Center, at 410 Chartres Street, houses our vast collection of materials relating to the history and culture of the Gulf Coast, Louisiana, and New Orleans, which is available to the public. Admission to the Research Center is free, and appointments are not necessary. The Laura Simon Nelson Galleries for Louisiana Art at 400 Chartres Street showcase visual art made in or by Louisianans. Admission is free. The Williams Research Center and the Nelson Galleries are open Tues-Sat.

So much history in NOLA - can't wait to go back. Our 4 day visit along with others things we were there for, wasn't long enough. I think we'll go back for another long weekend.
