A bit disappointed in the menu here - limited selections and quite pricey. Located off the beaten path, maybe not worth the walk....

Make sure you book! The legendary Ellis Marsalis plays two sets on Friday nights but they are nigh on impossible to get into. The wonder of this joint is the passing of the flame to the younger musicians and so keeping jazz alive. A must...More

We went on Friday night to see Ellis Marsalis' quartet and had a fabulous time sitting in the balcony. Ellis is not to be missed should you have the opportunity.

We were told there was some jazz on when we went in. The food turned out to be expensive and, frankly, not very good. The drinks were also overpriced. When it finally got to the jazz it turned out that there was a $20 charge....More

Really enjoyed the Friday night show featuring the Ellis Marsalis quintet. Bought our tickets online a couple days ahead. Small, intimate venue with general seating, but really there's not a bad seat in the house. Concert lasted about 1 hour 45 minutes. Did not disappoint!

Faubourg Marigny & Bywater
Nestled between the French Quarter and the Ninth Ward,
the Faubourg Marigny & Bywater environs are largely
residential. Of course, folks around here love to go
out and have a good time as much as they do anywhere
in NOLA. And if out-of-towners want to join in the
festivities, well then so much the better! Home to
some of the most revered live music venues in New
Orleans, an eclectic gaggle of gourmand dining

I agree with Stephen. They're in separate locations of the building. I would go earlier and try to get seated in the performance area.

I believe it's between an hour and an hour-and-a-half. We heard Charmaine Neville (of the famous musical family) and she was terrific. She invites other artists up to perform, if they're in the audience, and that's the... More

I believe there are two performances every night at 8:00 and 10:00pm. You an check the website to confirm and see scheduled entertainers. If 8:00pm isn't too late, I think your 12-year old grandson would enjoy.
