Bracelet heaven

I always stop here to buy a bracelet when we are in town. It's the only place I buy costume jewelry.

Every Autographed item in this store is fake. Forged Beatles, Eric Clapton, Hendrix, the list goes on. None of the items have been authenticated by 3rd party autograph authenticators such as JSA or PSA. Every item appears to be signed by the same individual. STAY AWAY!!

I was pretty excited about Vintage 329 while I was researching New Orleans. Once I arrived, I was not disappointed. The unique, curious and just plain funky cool are arranged throughout three rooms; so much so, in fact, that being a large man, I was careful about how I turned around in the back room. Prices vary according to the... More

Vintage 329 is a must see if you're into memorabilia. The owners didn't seem to mind anyone walking around just browsing (with no intention of buying) at the awesome items such as a Jimi Hendrix guitar ($48,000), Travelling Wilburys, Beatles, and many more famous musicians, movies and authors. You will need at least a half an hour there.

I'm not a collector myself, but still found myself looking through treasures for over an hour. They have an amazing collection of items from sports, music, movies, and history...most items autographed. A pleasant and interesting change of pace from the tourist trap places.

Packed full of mind blowing vintage and antique treasures, I almost did a happy dance finding a rare 78 acetate of my favourite, long deceased singer! Lots of rare items, posters, records and autographed photos of stars from today and years gone by. Ask for Jamie, she is fantastic and very knowledgeable. Unmissable!

There are just so many trashy T shirt, and cheap souvenir shops all selling identical items and we wanted something a little special as we had bought plenty of cheap stuff on previous visits to New Orleans. At last I wandered into Vintage 329 and was allowed to ponder and browse without being followed. I could even pick up items... More

Brandi and Jamie are the friendliest ladies I've ever met in an antique/memorabilia store. They have so many unique finds - signed books, art, music among other things. They are liquidating their sports memorabilia section - so go soon if you are into that. I was in here for over an hour just looking at things. Amazing collection. Very personal... More

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
