Harrah's New Orleans

It was a decent visit even though the buffet was not on point. Some foods that should've been hot with heat were not and there was a wait for lettuce and salad greens.

Service was very slow to table games and floor personnel had to be called several times by dealers. Some dealers were dealt so fast that people left the table. Did not give much time to enjoy the game or other people.

This place is the best. I guarantee you will want to go back or not leave by the end of your trip. This hotel and casino are separate. They are located in the perfect spot. Never ending activities and beautiful rooms. I suggest you call to see if there are other events first. They did bump us without telling us... More

Nice staff and clean, smoke-free tables and slots. Wasn't charged for drinks at any point. (be a good tipper, this doesn't happen everywhere!)

We stopped for the buffet lunch here before heading to the airport. The variety was excellent and our server was very attentive. We indulged in the mussels and clams predominantly, with some southern dishes added in. Since we don't eat meat and dairy, I can't comment on those offerings. The desserts looked amazing - it was impossible to try that... More

This is an old casino and could certainly use a few upgrades. We toured this casino and played a few slots - no, we did not win.

Looked like an alright casino it was pretty dead for it being a Saturday night. Didnt look like it had too much to offer so we walked around and spent out money else where.

Confirmed 4 hours before check in, was told when arrived that hotel was sold out. Manager was intimidating and rude. There are a bunch of different hotels to stay at in New Orleans, stay at them.

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
