Very Nice zoo, lots of Animals, a few houses closed due to COVID, a lot of rare animals there, including white alligator, friendly staff, social distancing practices in place, overall really fun place to visit.

Well organized but very very sad vibe, everything was closed (as expected due to COVID) would've been nice to have the food stands open and other activities. The Maya section is very pretty and all the animals looked well cared. Gift shop has tons of stuff, kind of pricy but worth it. …

We went to the zoo today, having bought timed tickets last night. There was no crowd at the gate to get in at 1pm. I had last been there about 30 years ago (we live in Virginia) and really enjoyed it. Not everything is open, but we spent 3 1/2 hours there and didn’t see everything. This is the 2nd time in our last 3 visits here that we've left feeling underwhelmed. We live an hour from the zoo and recently took our family of 4 (2 kids) on a beautiful, cool Friday morning. Yet, most of the animals that WERE available were sleeping (not that the zoo can help that, I guess), but there were a lot of stops with no animals and a few things were closed due to Covid (reptile house, petting zoo, train, to name a few). But I certainly paid full price, $100 total. Also, they are staggering visit times to go with online tickets. We went when it opened and there were a ton of people, walkways cramped, and not much distancing going on. So if you're not going to really enforce all of that, just open the whole thing up! We had a nice picnic in the beautiful open grounds area and enjoyed the baboon family and a few other spots. But all in all, left feeling a bit ripped off. We probably won't return anytime soon.…

There were only a few animals actually out to view. Train was closed. All actual shows or anything else was all closed. And they still charged us full price for not even half of what they offer!!!
