About
Put on your cleanest white duds and head over to NOLA’s Warehouse District for one of the city’s biggest street parties (and that’s really saying something!) as well as the chance to rub elbows and partake in a tipple or two with a largely local set of folks keen to comb the area’s many gallery-glorious lanes and nearby museums. White dress only is de rigueur at this height of summer shindig and makes for quite a sight to behold as throngs of merrymakers dance the night away to live outdoor entertainment.

Neighbourhood: Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.

Art, Music, Food and Drink in a Sea of White
Aug 2018 • Couples
The first weekend in NOLA is considered the hottest in NOLA so everyone pulls out their white linen to be cool and comfortable. White linen night closes Julia Street and opens the art district for a great party and art-walk. Food vendors from some of the best chefs of NOLA, great drinks, interesting music and great people watching. No better way to spend a hot New Orleans evening.

Fun night to see lots of art exhibits
Aug 2018 • Friends
My friend's brother was opening an art exhibit, so we traveled to New Orleans specifically for Whitney White Linen Night. It was amazing to see almost everyone dressed in white and having a great time visiting the galleries on Julia Street. There were lots of vendors (also dressed in white) in the middle of the street selling beverages and food.

What a neat experience!!
Aug 2016
Happened upon white linen night by a fluke when a server mentioned it to us. We were staying right in the art's district. We had a great time wandering the street, eating great food, drinking cold bevy's and checking out some amazing art by many, many local artists. It was a little expensive but nothing crazy.
