The place has many types of cheese. They offer some samples that you can taste for free. It is a good place to find a gift for a friend.

Been to this nice cheese place twice when visited last month. First time was a older lady who walks with a limp. She was not that friendly but not overly rude either. I've found the younger staffs much more friendlier! They let me tried various cheeses before buying, friendly smiley face < the young girl. Perhaps the older staff are... More

A very nice shop with a large variety of quality cheese from Wisconsin, as well as other kinds of food and gifts. The staff was very nice and spent a lot of time to help me choose the right cheese for airplane travel. He also recommended the local organic crackers that would go well with the types of cheese I got.... More

Had a very short time in Madison, just passing through really, but this place was on our list to stop at. Lots of amazing cheeses, jams, crackers etc to make a great spread or to assemble a gift. We chose about 10 orphan cheeses from the front and a bag of apricots. Loved the variety! Great service.

Tucked away on the capitol square, this is a neat little boutique. Obviously cheese is the star, but they also have cured meats and other "cheese platter" regulars. Plus they have cute serving dishes, candies, body products, liquor, and much much more. I popped in for a sandwich to-go, which was delicious (Chicken Adobo). If you're not in Madison long,... More

Lots of cheeses, lots to choose from easy to find whatever you're looking for. Angels like cheeses. Not really a restaurant despite what trip advisor says. You can pick up picnic packs of stuff here though.

As a Wisconsinite, I'm picky about my cheese, and Fromagination has the best. Whether local or Imported, the selection is excellent. The service is what cinched the place for me, though. They ask you about your taste and offer samples to help you find the right product in your budget. You will be set for the finest cheese party once... More

Cheaper than a plane ticket, Fromagination lands you somewhere in Europe as soon as the door closes behind you. Offers of samples, advice and information from the knowledgeable staff are always available as well as the aroma of a true cheese shop. Lots to see (and taste) here, its easy to get in, but I have trouble leaving, or wanting... More

Located facing the capital in downtown Madison. Beautiful interior with of course cheese but also dishes, cheese sides, meats, and the locally produced Quince and Apple gourmet jellies (why I stopped in). Friendly staff.

Most excellent place to buy a variety of cheeses. My wife saw the alert that $160 was put on the card. She asked me what I spent that on. Cheese was the answer and what hell I caught....until it all arrived via next day air in Portland, OR. All was forgiven. We had ourselves a cheese and wine party with... More
