This is a great place to be! My wife and I live right next to the medical school where she is a student. Can’t beat the walkability of the campus either. Great place for strong academics and athletics.

Even when campus is dead, there is something to do. It's beautiful inside and out. Walk around and never enter a building or take the time to enter them and see what is going on. Some have water walls, or zen bathrooms. Museums and artifacts...More

Received very personalized attention for such a large University. The guides were all really willing to answer questions. Great to have a University right on the lake. My son loved the ice cream they make there. I was impressed.

It was good to return for a visit to the University of Wisconsin. It seemed like a vast campus back in the day I studied there, but now it has really grown. It is still well kept, attractive buildings and lots for students to do.

Take a lovely stroll and sit by the water having beers or lemonades. Feed the ducks and sit in the giant chairs. Chill out and enjoy the lake.

Until I went to Madison, I never realized how large this campus is. It's a little hard to navigate if you don't have a campus map. There's new construction and older buildings being renovated. Every time we asked for directions or asked questions, the staff,...More

Beware. The public parking garages were full on a Monday morning outside term time. Street parking is metered and generally for a very strange 25 minutes! The parking inspector cars are evident and coffee shops near the university refuse to give small change WITH a...More

The university sprawls through out the city. There is a high point on campus which looks straight out to the capital building. Overall quite a lovely and well maintained campus. The campus adjoins a lake or a river and people can sit and enjoy the...More

This campus sprawls across most of the city and it is easy to get lost if you are unfamiliar to the area. Not many maps so make sure you know where you are going. The campus feels very safe, even alone at night. There are...More

Go to the ride board at the University of WI Union, there's a great network of riders wanted, drivers needed, etc. Enjoy!
