Had some extra time while in Madison so went to see the outdoor gardens in Olbrich Botanical Gardens. Don't miss the Thai Pavilion section. It features the pavilion that the government from Thailand gave as a gift. It's the only one in the continental US....More
An Oasis of 16 beautifully landscaped varietal gardens in the heart of Madison. Butterflies abound, fountains, ponds and one of the most well designed city gardens I have ever visited. Perfect for a walk in the park.

Olbrich Botanical Gardens is located on the Capital City bike path, offering easy access to and from the gardens for bikers. However, bikes are not allowed inside the gardens or conservatory. There is plenty of bike parking by the entrance. There is also a B-Cycle station in the parking lot for visitors who wish to rent a bike and ride throughout Madison.
