We didn't go into the center but spent over an hour walking around the lovely park behind the Center. It is very extensive with picnic tables and playing fields and a couple duck ponds full of ducks. We thoroughly enjoyed this opportunity to walk around after hours in the car. In warmer weather it would be a great place to... More

Great place to get info, helpful staff made of mostly volunteers. I needed a hotel room with handicap facilities for visiting family members, they were able to supply a list with prices and availability in less than 5 minutes. They also were able to conect me with the local veterans affair office. They were also helpful with local handicap accessible... More

The ladies at this Welcome Center went above & beyond in supplying us with needed maps and even held a particular tee shirt we wanted at Mesa Verde (that was out of stock there) for us until we could get by to pick it up! Nice people.

She highlighted detailed maps to make a loop -Cortez -Lowry Pueblo-Hovenweep and back to Cortez plus road and trail conditions at the sites. Most importantly she was able to give us an idea if this trip was a good idea for a person who must use... More

A welcome find on our trip from Utah to Colorado. Staff at the centre were welcoming and well informed. We were provided with a wealth of information p, along with a free cup each of excellent, freshly made coffee! Just what we needed after a long journey. A big thanks from us both

Must stop here before seeing sights in Cortez Area. Also got good information on eateries. There is also an official gift shop for Mesa Verde information and items for purchase.
