A little disorganised

I enjoyed our visit here but the service in the shop where we bought our tea was shambolic. Only I person serving with a huge queue.

Thomson tour. Took a while to find guide. She tried her best bet this is not lId out as well as could be e case. Lovely smell of tea I the winnowing room. Apparently stated in the early 19th century so not sure how Boston had its tea party. Nice cuppa at the end of the tour but more could... More

We had looked forward to learning about tea production but unfortunately the guide seemed not to be keen to tell us much. She rushed ahead, not waiting for us to ask questions or take photos and was rather offhand. She had a general air of boredom to the point of rudeness. On the plus side, the tea room and shop... Good place to stop for a look around. I should probably use the word 'tour' lightly as it's a quick ten minute whizz around with a brief explanation of the process of tea growing and production. Just wait around and when there's enough people, one of the guides will start you off. You can enjoy free tea afterwards in the... More

This was a great tea factory although the tour was very short. I preferred the Blue Fields Tea Factory tour.

Quite a quick tour - here's a tea bush - this is what we pick and then straight inside to see some machinery in operation where the tea making process was explained. The tour did seem very rushed until we sat down with a complementary cup of tea (we ordered cake too but was a bit too dry for our... More

We drove even further up the hills just to visit this tea estate. Upon arrival, it was chaotic. People were just wandering aimlessly totally unattended to. We were totally ignored. We walked around aimlessly and were unnoticed. We eventually asked for help & for a staff to show us around at the tea shop, the lady we spoke to disappeared... More

How can anyone miss this tea factory when travelling to Sri Lanka - the home of Ceylon tea? Tour round the factory & learn about the making of tea.
