Really liked this church - and a very nice walk from the centre of town past some lovely old colonial buildings. The cemetery was very interesting and judging by the outside of the church, I'm sure the inside would be just as good.

We were taken here by our driver/guide as he has family buried here and late family members were part of the Church. It is easy to have a quick look round and leave. Instead, take a few minutes to read the memorial plaques on the walls. Losing 4 babies in a matter of years must have been a heartbreaking part... More

The church and the premises, especially the cemetery has got a history of many centuries. It was built in 1852.The interior of the church and the cemetry is worth visiting.

An old Dutch church, although with very little to see, attached to an equally old overgrown cemetery.

The tombstones all around this church tell its story: soldiers, administrators and tea estate owners and workers from all over the U.K. once lived, worked or served here, making a community in this far corner of Great Britain, a small enclave doing its bit for the Empire. As you enter this quiet Anglican Church, you're struck by the beautiful painted... More

Very well maintained Church in Nuwara Eliya. Though it appears scary because of the Graveyard outside but very beautifully maintained.

This church dates back to the very early days of the colonial era and gives an snapshot of the lives of the early colonial families. The church is beautifully preserved and is of course still in use today. The stained glass windows are impressive and the pipe organ is amazing considering its age. Some of the grave stones and plaques... More

Christian services are to be had in this lovely church. Very much in the vein of an English style. The choir mainly of children, will sing during the service and sounds quite beautiful. The church yard has many tomb stones dating back hundreds of years when Sri-Lanka was governed by the British and was called Ceylon. The current priest is... More

Walk amongst the blooming day lilies and the gravestones that hark back to a time long forgotten. Visit the grave site of Olive Caldecott, the wife of Governor Andrew Caldecott. Inside the church is an awesome pipe organ as well as a beautiful stained glass window donated by Queen Elizabeth the II, commemorating her visit to the church on Easter... More
