It's generally very crowded and near impossible to take a break and sit in the shade in the extreme heat. Not much to see, similar canons in front of the Archeological museum.

Malik –e-Maidan also termed Burj-e-Sherz was built by Ibrahim Adil Shah II. it houses a huge cannon Operating Hours:Mon-Sun 8AM-5PM

Malik e Maidan is a good place to visit in evening and rainy season also. It is the best place to know the history of Bijapur.

Malik-i-Maidan means master of the plains. This canon is made up of combination of many metals and the main metal is iron. This Canon is possessed by the Deccan Sultanate. This was the greatest weapon he owned. The inscriptions are in Arabic and Persian.
