We realized once seriously planning our trip to Aleppey that we wouldn't be able to afford a decent houseboat, so we opted for this kayaking tour. I'm so glad we did! Paddling through the canals gave a neat viewpoint on village life and the calmness of the narrow waterways was so peaceful. Our guide was very informative and let us... More

These guys are fantastic! Kayaking is a wonderful way to see the backwaters with freedom to go at your own pace. Samson, our guide, was super knowledgeable about the local birds and nature and told us all about them. The level of kayaking is not challenging, it's a nice gentle trip and the Shikara support boat is there if you... More

We enjoyed our 7 hour trip on kayak's with Solomon! It certainly is a great way to see the backwaters and much better than a normal houseboat in my opinion. Solomon is very nice and extremely knowledgable and is a great host. The kayaking is quite tough in the heat - and I would definitely say that physical fitness is... More

We'd heard good things about Kerala Kayaking and we weren't disappointed. We booked last minute and Samson and his team were happy to oblige. The rickshaw was waiting for us at our guesthouse at 6.20 and we were kayaking through the morning mist by 7.00. The peace and tranquility on the river at that time in the morning was magical.... Amazingly, Kerala Kayaking are among the very few or may be the only Kayaking service provider in Alleppey. But, monopoly is still not making them to forgot customer experience is first and foremost!! Though, backwaters look quite dirty, experience in kayaking through them, early in the morning, seeing rising sun , kayaking through channels with paddy fields both sides, morning... More

I had an amazing time kayaking the backwaters this morning with Samson. He was an outstanding tour leader taking us to places not reachable by larger boats. He was also knowledgeable about the history, farming, fishing and wildlife of the area - pointing out many species of birds along the way!

My friend and I booked the 4h kayak tour and each took a single kayak. It was quite a workout, so if you're not as fit, just pick a double kayak. We had an amazing guide - very knowledgeable about birds and plants etc and very good English too. Pick up, drop off, breakfast and everything was organised well. We... More

I had been on the 7 hours tour. The overall experience was good, but I think that 3000 rupees is a bit to much for what is on offer. There are cheaper tours (like 1/3 cheaper) through hostels and hotels with similar comfort and ease. Lunch was plenty and tasty and we saw a lot of areas that are normally... More

We were picked up at 6:45am from our accommodation and taken to the river for our morning of kayaking. We were able to leave our bags on the support boat before getting in our kayaks. Samson kindly provides waterproof bags to take on the kayaks, should you wish to bring your camera or any other valuables with you. The kayaking... More

This is a great way to see the backwaters. The guide was a very friendly and likeable man. Watching the aunrise in the backwaters was one of the highlights of our India trip.
