I've lived in kampot for over a year and can day hands down this is my favourite bar. Do not miss Thursday nights when kampot playboys are playing, a great and unique sound with an amazing dance vibe. Cannot recommend highly enough, I run a guesthouse here and always try and atake guests along with me for a fun night out in town, every guest I've taken here had loved it as much as I do!

I can't say enough about this place. Truly. Arrtu (R2) is extraordinary. The drinks are strong but the company is extraordinary. We walked in when the bar was empty. Through the night, the bodies continued to pour in, but the vibe remained true. We initially stayed for a moment but we lasted to the wee hours of the morning. The company, the conversion. The cocktails, the comfortability.

A kampot icon, and the best of people Ive met in ages. Be sure to stop in on a thursday night for a B52 shot and to see the Kampot Playboys, a khmer-western band that plays old cambodian rock covers.

Like Wunderbar next door, and indeed most of this short block (everything south of Pepe & the Viking at the 'Old Market' end), it shut down early in 2016.... to make way for extensive renovations of the buildings, which are still ponderously ongoing.
MADI has been closed for well over a year now, and shows no sign of ever reopening.

We loved this place. Sadly we were not there longer to enjoy it more. We saw an awesome local band there one night and had an amazing night dancing and meeting new people. Great vibe! They have a pool table out the back to chill out and play in the afternoon or chill in the chairs out the front over looking the river. The owner and staff were very friendly and helpful with information about the area too. We were stoked we came across this little gem! Thank you.

I dropped by this cool little bar with cool wall paintings and a super friendly blue haired bar tender. What else can u hope for an space to drink gin and tonic in ?!

I have visited this bar quite a few times and each time I have had an amazing night. There is live music on a Thursday which is so much fun! There staff are friendly and attentive and the drinks are reasonably priced (especially if you visit at happy hour!) It is a beautiful place on the riverside and it looks so pretty with all the lights outside! It has fun and quirky art work on the walls inside! I would recommend this bar to any person visiting kampot!
