Nice Place to Relax near the Friendly Center

The design of this garden makes you feel like you are deep in the woods for a good portion of the path. It's a nice place to go when you are in the Friendly Shopping Center area.

This isn't the Bicentennial Gardens - don't get confused. The gardens focus more on manicured areas and blooms, the Bog Garden is a natural area through the woods behind Friendly Center that has a great walking path with boardwalk decking put in. It's a great stroll and you can see wildlife if you just sit and observe and there's a... More

Small natural park. Perfect in-town escape. Great bird and nature watching. Love to walk there in a summer rain.

The Bog Garden was a great place to take a short walk through the forest. The boardwalk was well maintained, and the off-boardwalk paths were easily accessible for all levels of walkers. The metal bridge near the waterfalls was an interesting piece of art. We saw quiet a few birds, including an owl.

I visited this little garden walk with my boyfriend in March so I can't remember details. It was a very peaceful garden that I enjoyed very much and hope to visit again soon. It is a wonderful little walk for people with their dogs and also for the family. You would never know you were so close to town.

A quiet nook away from the bustle. Features a circular path along a stream and lake with other paths winding up a wooded hill. There is a waterfall stream with paths crossing it. The entire garden can be seen in 15-30 minutes depending on your strolling speed. If you are lucky you will see interesting wildlife.

This is a great place to visit a slice of nature right in the middle of a busy commercial and residential area. A boardwalk takes you through a boggy lowland, where you can see wildflowers and birds, including the resident barred owls. The park abuts both the Bicentennial (formal) gardens and the Friendly (shopping) center.

The bog garden is a peaceful retreat. Once you walk in there it feels as if you are miles away from the everyday hustle and bustle, even though your across the street from shopping venues. The lake is beautiful, and so are the houses that border it. Its just very peaceful and serene, and the whole place is a great... More
