Well worth the drive, but keep some gas in the tank (the human one) for the ride back up the hills

Hiking the Pincushion lookout and back takes over an hour, but the view is worth it. Not a difficult hike, but does take some effort.

Pincushion came highly recommended by colleagues and students, and of course, tripadvisor reviewers. I took my son on a bike ride today, and thankfully I received some great recommendations from a knowledgeable rider. So we avoided the single-tracks and stuck to the ski tracks, they...More

We did a day trip to Grand Marais to check out the mountain bike trails. This area is about a 5 minute drive from the city centre. I would suggest getting a map of the trails at the local bike shop in Grand Marais before...More

Was here last week, nice little hike. Can't remember how long I was out but it's a great view from the top, looking down on peachland. Pretty easy hike just follow the path, little bit of rock climbing here and there

I have hiked this in dry weather when the trail was good. Unfortunately due to rain, the trails were very muddy, sloppy. We did not go far.

It's a nice, warm, sunny day and the ski conditions couldn't be more perfect-a great way to start out the New Year. Most of the trails are one way and groomed for both Classic and skate skiing. And the look outs are terrific of the...More

Very nice trail system that offers true piece and quiet. We were here in late November and hiked through the snow; this made for a spectacular hike. Finished with lunch at Dockside Fish Market.
