Stop in and see what is happening with local artists and craftspeople. This is the place that set the tone for Grand Marais as an artist enclave and a home for creatives.

We stopped by there especially to see Betsy Bowen's woodcut works, but also found many other interesting works going on. Very nice to speak with the artists or their assistants about their work. Lots of tempting things to purchase!

My mother had one of these but she dropped it. Lucky it didn't break. The water falls are beautiful. Excellent hiking trails. If you go in the summer be sure to bring mosquito repellent.

Neat idea, several very interesting sessions and lots of new ideas. Planning for the next offering could use some forethought and consideration for both convience of participants and the economy of the area. Missed opportunities for cross pollination and civic coordination.

There's a bakery in the building off to the side, but it was closed when we were there. Great woodcut and jewelry art for sale.

You are not speaking of the Grand Marais Art Colony, there is no Bakery at the Art Colony. You we're visiting Betsy Bowens studio and The playhouse . Not affiliated with nor is it the Grand Marais Art Colony. Different locations all together. the Art Colony is located in an old Catholic church

No, my review is accurate, you are referring to an earlier review that mentions Betsy Bowen's wood cuts and a bakery. your feedback should have been for that one. It is correct that that is a different building located a few... More
