For such a small space this museum is packed with dizzying array of JWPowell info. This guy's accomplishments/fortitude mind blowing. I wish i could have been along for his floats tho i know hardships had to have been many. The museum also offers up lots of info on others and the area as well. If you can tear yourself away... We happened to go there to get visitor information for Page, and spent the last hour it was open to view its exhibit. Being the last hour, it was free but the entrance fee is very reasonable.

Absolutely stunning photos, paintings, exhibits and murals. The service counter offers a plethora of valuable ideas for adventure tours in the local area. there is sooo much to do and see in and around Page, Arizona. Make this your first stop for vacation fun in the sun. A very competent and friendly staff, clean restrooms and a gift shop. You... More

We were lucky to get in free on our visit. It would be nice if it was free for all because it's a modest museum, but still enjoyable to learn about JWP.

The history in this small museum is good...setting the context for the area's exploration history. But the description of the uplift of the Colorado Plateau and how the canyons in the area came to be is probably one of the best, most descriptive, most easily understandable such I have seen. Well worth the very modest entrance fee.

This is a great little museum and worth a visit! It's not big but have great info and displays on JWP and his exploration of the Colorado! A story that is fascinating for sure and a must if you visit this area! Don't miss it! Karen from Texas

My Road Scholar tour of Utah national parks stopped at this small museum. We've all heard about the Lewis and Clark expedition. This museum tells the story of the expedition led by John Wesley Powell to explore the last "dark spot" on the map of the United States -- down the Green and Colorado Rivers. The highlight is a film... More

It is a nice museum with good displays and a very good video of the explores adventure down the canyon. It is a quick stop or a relaxing one which ever you want. A good resturant is right across the street. Kids often don't study adventurers like Powell and why not teach them to dream. This is the stop.
