It's pretty, but not comparable to many of the other gorgeous hikes in Alaska. A nice transition from Forest to ocean view. It was past the season for nagoon berries so we didn't see any. Their bushes look like small strawberry bushes.

This trail is a lovely way to spend the afternoon, strolling through Alaskan wilderness. Visitors can spot wildlife, birds, and flowers in bloom along the way. Some birds spotted from the trail include, bald eagles, crossbills, winter wrens, and a boreal owl.

....we sighted a mama grizzly and her two cubs 100 yards up the trail, so we turned around and went back the way we came!

We stayed at the Gustavus Inn and they had bikes for us to use. We took this ride with kids- very easy ride and fun to enjoy the outdoors from our Inn.

Beautiful trail to see plants and trees. In June, the wild flowers were blooming and the fields and trail were spectacular. It is quiet and tranquil.

Had the trail to myself and enjoyed the serenity. Used bear bells though. Pretty flowers, chocolate lily and lupine.

This is an easy stroll which is perfect for an hour's walk or so near the airport. It traverses a diversity of landscapes and presents a wide array of native flora. We saw moose sign on the trail, but since we hike in bear country...More

Unfortunately we didn't see any wildlife, but the trail is beautiful and well-maintained. Worth the trek around the loop.

Can my wife who is in a wheelchair safely be pushed by me on your trail system? Here in the Los Angeles area it is very hilly with uneven trails with to many people on them. We are from Northern Minnesota but after 20+ years have lost our connections to the past. Thank You! Preston & Robin Holland

It is level, but unpaved. It is also a bit narrow in a few places. I think it would be inadvisable. The staff at the National Park might be able to recommend an alternative.
