Not easy but not too hard and well worth the workout you get. Have hiked it several times, had mountian goats, coyotes pass us on the trail. Beautiful wildflowers in spring and summer as well as beautiful colors in the Fall.

The Hidden Lake Nature Trail starts from the back side of the Logan Pass Visitor Center, and has memorable all-direction vistas. Fire activity had closed the Going-To-The-Sun Road from Lake McDonald to Logan Pass in the latter part of summer 2017. This hike was done...More

One of the best trails at Glacier National Park is the trail to Hidden Lake Overlook. The trailhead is located behind the visitor center at Logan Pass. It is a moderate 2.6 mile round trip hike that is often still snow-covered in early July. Some...More

My husband has been wanted to hike to Hidden Lake from Logan Pass for several years now, but something always came up, too much snow and late year so foggy you could not see over 10 feet. Finally did it this year. 3 mile round...More

Nice easy walk and saw lots of wildlife including a Grizzly bear within 10 minutes of the start of the walk, passed across the path in front of us.

This is a great 3 mile hike that should be taken. Most of the trail is on boardwalks, especially to the overlook. We had some smoke, but it was not bad. We would have liked to see a mountain goat, but were able to see...More

This brief 3 mile round trip hike is a must-do. Most of it is on boardwalks so you have secure footing the whole way. If you are not used to hiking, there is some elevation gain so be sure to pack some water.

The Going to the Sun road must be open to access Hidden Lake. There are many other options for great hikes. Avalanche Lake is beautiful. Many beautiful hikes in the Two Medicine area.
