Certainly it brings a lot of people to the Atlantic Yards area for a show, a basketball game, or some food. Puts lots of people on the street. Sometimes there are community events here. Well-served by public transit.Visited June 2023Written 10 June 2023

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Barclays Center is a GHETTO ARENA!!!! I went to the attend We Them Ones comedy tour and everyone was smoking marijuana in the place. I don’t understand how this is okay and I feel when you pay good money to attend a show or concert you shouldn’t be subjected to people smoking in the place . I didn’t sign up to smell like it or be in a cloud of it. Security is a joke because asking people to put it out does nothing because as soon as they turn their backs they light up again. All over people were smoking marijuana and it made me ill to the point i left after 45 minutes in after moving from my paid seat, only to go higher and encountered the same thing. I’m telling you now if you go to any concert here beware people will be smoking marijuana all around you.

Booked 2 expensive tickets to the basketball, NY Knicks Vs Brooklyn Jets and was hauled from our seats 20 minutes in to the game because apparently our tickets were double booked. The staff member who hauled us off like criminals, had made a mistake. We were made to queue at the box office to 'sort it out' whilst the game was going on and we missed a whole quarter. Spoken to with disdain by the staff even though none of it was our fault and was an error on the center not us. America is supposed to be known for its service culture. It absolutely isn't at the Barclay Center. I would book a game elsewhere for visitors planning on going.

This huge sports and concert complex transformed this neighborhood and probably accelerated the gentrification of central Brooklyn. Certainly spawned a lot of nearby restaurants. Lots of people come here all the time for events. Well served by the subway and the train.

I took my grandson to the Barclay's Center for the NBA Draft on June 22nd. We live in Pennsylvania and drove three hours to Brooklyn for this trip. Our view of the big screen to watch the event was totally blocked by speakers hanging from the ceiling. I have tried to contact Barclay's management both through email and social media and they don't even take the time to reply. I paid $400 for a hotel in Brooklyn and almost $200 for tickets and my grandson was ready to leave after just ten picks. Barclay's really let us down.

Visited for a Nets basketball game and was very disappointed by the facilities. The main entrance was closed for entry and the side entrance que took such a long time that we missed the first quarter, despite showing up early for the game. Security was slow and staff rude. The space in-front of the seats is so narrow it is very hard to walk to your seat without stepping on other people’s toes, that’s if they even stand up and let you pass - which they did not several times. The bathrooms are far away from the seating. The drink situation is what frustrated me even more. The “Bev Express” charged me $31.57 plus another pending amount of $9.46 for two beer cans 😳 there was no prices and I didn’t expect them to cost me $20 each.

I received tickets as a gift and the tickets were texted to me. Will that be an issue?
I will going from Europe to see a Nets game with my 15 year old son. I have 2 questions :
1- Is the area safe to move arround?
2- is ti safe to take a away team jersey to the Nets game ?
Thanks
I bought tickets to take my 12 year old son to an all age concert. I just found out my 17 year old brother wants to go. Is my 17 year old brother allowed to take my 12 year old son inside the arena instead of me.

What does VIP Seating actually mean? We have NY Liberty tickets in the "VIP section" (not a suite) and I believe we're supposed to enter through the main entrance like everyone else. Can someone confirm that these seats are just regular seats? And if not, what's the difference?
