Really enjoyed our low key ride with lots of interesting commentary. A nice change from the other frenetic sites of New York.

Hey Julia, thanks for the message! If you haven't taken a look at our website do a search for Get Up and Ride. We have more details about the tour there, I'm sure it'll answer your questions. The tour is NOT a tour de France, it's a casual bike ride ;) We make stops throughout the ride so 4 hours is really only about 2 hours of riding and 2 hours worth of stops. We visit an artisan coffee roaster, enjoy slices at a local favorite pizzeria and tour the largest organic rooftop farm in the world in the Navy Yard. You'll get to see Williamsburg all the way down to Brooklyn Heights with the Navy Yard and Dumbo in between. Along the way your guide will communicate via walkie-talkies about each neighborhood, it's development, cool places to visit and it's history. Art and culture are part of the conversation but not the focus. You'll see some graffiti along the way but the truth is Williamsburg is NOT the artistic haven it once was. The development of the neighborhood has caused rent prices to skyrocket so many working artists have been priced farther into Brooklyn. The graffiti area is actually in the neighborhood of Bushwick which is a short subway ride from our shop (or 5 minute Uber) if you decide to ride with us in the first half of the day. The afternoon is all you need to enjoy the street art, grab a drink and walk around. Google the Bushwick Collective to see examples of the art you can find there, it's off the L train at the Jefferson Street station. Our shop is on Lorimer Street (about 4 stops away). Hope that answers your question and you can join us for a tour!
