I love visiting Carroll Gardens. It has so much charm and great restaurants, pubs and shops. It has an old Italian neighborhood feel to it still even though many "hipsters" have moved into the neighborhood. Some of my favorite places in the neighborhood are Court Street Pastry, an old Italian bakery that has been in the neighborhood for over fifty... More

Lots to see in Carroll Gardens - you may want to include as part of your walk along Court and/or Smith streets. Classic brownstones, nice restaurants, cafes. Pleasant way to spend a morning is to stroll from Smith/ 9th Street station to Atlantic Avenue.

Although there are still a few marginal areas in Carroll Gardens, this is a dynamic and fun place with many fine bars and restaurants.

This well known neighborhood is an experience if you walk around here . The Brownstones and the charm of it unequalled ! This once Italian locality is now multi cultural but pricey . The quaint gardens in old buildings and the new developments make it an enviable house for the house hunters . The place is littered with charm but... More

Charming old Brooklyn neighbor that has become one of the trendiest neighborhood for families. It has the feel of an old Italian neighborhood, which it used to be. It is full of character and has a lot of diverse restaurants and bars.

Very nice tree lined streets with attractive brownstone housing. Lots of excellent choices for bars, food and cafes. The Brooklyn Farmacy and Soda Fountain is in Carroll Gardens. Very pleasant and safe to walk around. We did this as tourists from Australia, to escape crazy Manhattan, enjoy some cafes with a local feel and this is certainly the place to... More
