Christmas lights and decorations are amazing. Make sure to come by bus or train. There is no parking. Streets are jammed bumper to bumper with cars.

Don't drive to this one...will take you forever to get through the streets. Take the subway or bus and walk. ALMOST better than the Tree Lighting at the Rock

X-Mas lights are simply wonderful and they make You live in a real fairy tale. But this Brooklyn's area is also shining in summer, out of the noise & traffic of Manhattan & Brooklyn.

However you get there, get out and walk. A few blocks north of 86th Street and I believe between 10th and 13th Avenues are astounding holiday displays. Just follow the crowds. And definitely get out of your car if you drive. It is such a...More

Don’t know for certain but would expect lights up until after 12 Days of Christmas, when arrival of the 3 Kings is celebrated - which would be after the weekend of 5-6 January.

We use the Citymapper Iphone app for both subways and buses in the NYC area. It's great for mapping your route to the neighborhood and constantly updates times. It will tell you where buses stop and at what time.
