Took this tour mainly in response to my disappointment at the generality of New York’s Christmas offerings which seemed to be limited to only a few retail stores, Bryant Park, Union Square, the ice rink at Central Park and of course the Rockefeller Plaza. The...More

A display for all ages! Adults will appreciate the work and expense involved and children will try to absorb the fantasy the homeowners worked to achieve. This is almost as good as the July 4th 💥 Fireworks!

Having lived in Dyker Heights for more than a decade, I really don't understand why Trip Advisor lists this community. It is simply a quiet tree-lined neigbbourhood and has been for the best part of a century. I don't think there are any tourist attractions,...More

While our tour guide (Tour America) was very informative and fun, I was extremely disappointed in the amount of houses that were decorated. (Hence the grade.) From the website I expected almost every house to have these elaborate decorations, which was not the case. Those...More

Before we had large supermarket chain stores or box stores, New Yorkers would shop in small family owned businesses specializing in specific products. Get a taste of times past. Get a taste of Italy. Park your car and walk down 13th Avenue between 75th and...More

Don’t know for certain but would expect lights up until after 12 Days of Christmas, when arrival of the 3 Kings is celebrated - which would be after the weekend of 5-6 January.

We use the Citymapper Iphone app for both subways and buses in the NYC area. It's great for mapping your route to the neighborhood and constantly updates times. It will tell you where buses stop and at what time.
