When I booked 6 months before 4th July, I did not check where the boat left which is at the end of the subway line about 1 hr from central New York and then 10-15 minutes walk from Sheepshead station to the boat. Having been told that departure would be 5pm and return at 11.30pm, in fact we only left the dockside after 6pm and returned at 12.15am. The dinner for the cruise was the worst I have ever had on a boat (we have done similar trips in other cities). The organisation was non-existent with 300+ people trying at the same time for a selection of salad, potatroes, pasta, clam shell ? and chicken. If one was kind one would say it was luke warm but actually it was cold (forgot you had a bread roll as well). Almost inedible - usually on these boat trips you get a mixture of meats. Then we arrive for the Macy's fireworks at about 8.20pm - they are due to start at 9pm - in fact it was at least 9.20 for about 30 minutes. Our 5th November fireworks in St Albans, UK are at least as good and these were OK but disappointing. However the best for last. Throughout the trip of 7hrs there was a DJ who specialised in incredibly loud music nearly all being just bass pounding such that in the lower deck the noise just vibrarted the boat making it virtually impossible to talk. I can only say that the evening at $100 per head was very poor and I would not recommend this to most people. Check where the boat leaves and the food!…
