We happened upon this tiny State Park on a walk just a few blocks from our hotel. It was fairly quiet the morning we were there, people were friendly, and the views of the river and city were beautiful. I very much enjoyed the signs about the history of the area as well.

The park offers nice green space, plenty of shade trees for patrons of the nearby Smorgasburg, and unbeatable Manhattan skyline views from its tiny beach along the East River. I did see a person or two walking up to their ankles in the water, so just to remind everyone, we’re talking about the East River. It’s ok to stand near it and take in the views, but probably not a great idea to actually let the water touch you!…

The view at the East River park is worth millions. Literally can see the whole city and for a second find peace in this crazy city. Great spot to take a date after dinner or to go with friends and watch the tug boats go by. Picnic, dog friendly and lots of tables and grass to rest on. Wonderful park that always makes me forget about my troubles.…

Good Riverside park, can walk around rough water with some boulders, green park with plenty of seatings, good for family picnic, was a sunny day had a good time
