My parents, my fiance and I had sooo much fun being out with Trae and the team from Arctic Winter. They took us mushing for the first time and it was an absolutely amazing experience! We had so much fun with the dogs and the puppies and the guys were so well informed and friendly! Also, you could truly see... More

Michael was great! We went to Chena hot spring and chased northern light. He told us a lot about Alaska and prepared water for us after spring. The weather of that day was cloudy. He drove us to several stops to chase northern light. Choosing Michael is the best decision!

We had a delightful evening and a wonderful meal. Randy our tour guide was very knowledgeable about Alaska and the Northern Lights. The lady (sorry can not remember her name) who prepared our delicious meal of goulash was fantastic. We would definitely recommend 1st Alaska Outdoor School (1st Alaska Tours) to anyone who is interested in seeing the Northern Lights.... More

As someone who enjoys traveling and making the most out of it, I must write reviews about tours that are a disappointment so that other travelers do not make the same mistake. My partner and I booked the CHENA HOT SPRINGS AND NORTHERN LIGHTS NIGHT TOUR with 1st Alaska on December 29th. When we got to Fairbanks, we did not... More

Michael was fantastic. He took us to a Yurt to view the Aurora, helped us with setting our cameras for the very best pictures. Encouraged us to stay later (2am) when we wanted to leave, and we had a great display of the lights. He was so knowledgable on both tours and waited patiently until closing time at The North... Our guide was very nice and we went to a beautiful iced over lake to go fishing! The fish weren't biting at first (that's why they call it fishing and not just catching) but we persevered and the larger group eventually caught over a dozen fish! Unfortunately my family of four (myself and 3 mid twenty adults) only caught one... More

We were picked up at our hotel by shuttle right on time by Michael. On the approximately hour-long trip to the dog-mushing area he told us lots of interesting things about the areas that we passed by and about Alaska in general, and we also had great conversations about other random stuff. We were also informed a lot about the... More

I had a real blast attending to Aurora Bear’s photography class! As a Fairbanks resident, I have had the chance to witness some incredibly amazing aurora shows these past five years, but unfortunately I was never able to get any good picture of the northern lights…until I attended Frank’s photography class! The class happens in a gorgeous and newly built... More

I went on the Arctic Circle/Aurora Viewing tour a few weeks back and it was fantastic! I was hesitant to take a tour based on the price but it was very well worth it. Our tour guide, Mike, was excellent and had a wealth of information about the history of the area, the aurora, local wildlife, etc. etc. He was... More

Thanks to Ricky for the great tour and commentary. So lucky to have experienced such a spectacular display from the Northern Lights. The commentary and knowledge of Alsaka and surrounds that he provided made for a "bucketlist tick" highlight. Pick up at 2pm and return at 4am the next morning. Alaskan pipeline, Artic circle, Yukon river, Moose, Dalton highway, Hilltop... More
