There is one sign that tells the story of the pipeline and then you can walk up to it. It's kind of disappointing. I wish they'd have a museum and go in depth about the incredible engineering behind it and the people who built it. It's really just a glorified rest stop off the highway.

Recommend checking out the "Pipeline" movie display at the Thompson Visitor Center first. This is a modern engineering marvel, so it's worth the stop.

Stopped and looked at the pipeline and how it works. How it works was a lot more interesting then the pipe itself. Even though it's a contruction marvel you only see small parts of the pipeline. The stuff inside the pipe that keeps the oil flowing was very interesting.

We stopped here on a bus tour as a time filler being too early for our next location. The pipeline has very informative information boards with plenty of stats and the surrounding area has been well landscaped. There is also advice on how to take the best photo so it looks as if you are holding the pipe above your head. Our group thought it would be fun to stop here, take a photo or two and move on, but instead, it was an informative stop with interesting information and a nice place to stop and walk around and learn something.

A great place to stop and get pictures of the pipeline up close and it is really amazing to read and learn more about it while you are there.

Thank Tracy G
