Awesome hot spring, but bring spare tires!

We LOVED the Manley Hot Springs (the owner, Agnes, is so very sweet), but beware of the road to get there. It's 80 miles of the roughest gravel and shale - way worse than the... read more

78 miles of bumpy paved road followed by 78 miles of the worst road in the country. And all of that to a place that has very little. Yea, there is the roadhouse which has a bar. Locals will say the bar is what keeps the roadhouse open. Bring cash, lots of it because prices are very high. There is... More

Serene, surrounding, nestled in a park like setting. Hotel accommodations, restaurant. Bit spends. But good food. You can rent a camp ground, or stay in a hotel. Horseback riding. Swim in the natural hot spring pool. Inside and outdoor. We had so much fun. Stayed one night.

Even though it was a bit warm outside, I went to these wonderful natural hot springs. Temps were +100 in the greenhouse. and NO, I did not eat any of the grapes. This is a one of a kind magic place. It is a do not miss treat if you get in the area.

One more secret place that is worth all the effort to get there. We have been to many hot springs pools and resorts all over the place, and this quiet place of extremes, hot water and frozen permafrost 10 feet away, is one place I want to return to. Favored by knowledgeable Japanese, Inuits, Alaskans, Russians, Europeans, Americans and other... More

This place is great to visit when it is -35 below. Sit out in the hot pool and soak, such a nice relaxing time. Had burgers in the restaurant after, good food, fresh.

We LOVED the Manley Hot Springs (the owner, Agnes, is so very sweet), but beware of the road to get there. It's 80 miles of the roughest gravel and shale - way worse than the Dalton Highway! Nearly everywhere we talked to got at least one flat tire (several had 2!) from that road. We experienced the same fate on... More

We didn't know you had to call ahead to the lady that owns the Springs and request a time to go. We were there for two days and she seems miffed that we would make a request to go to her springs. She doesn't have to worry because we won't go back. It was a long drive for nothing and... More

Saw lots of wild life. Mostly a well packed dirt/gravel road. A section of roadway was paved. Road is approximately 80 miles each way. Make sure one has enough gas to make the round trip. Beautiful scenic views. The town is small, make sure to visit the Manley Road House. Very historic. Great food and people. Loved it.

Amazing structure, hard to believe this place can survive an Arctic winter. But according to the owner, this place has sttod 30 years and they only replaced the roof 6-7 years ago. Its really not a roof!! this is a giant hoophouse, full of overgrown grape vines (concord I think) and tropical plants. There are 4 large concrete vats that... More

This is not a fancy situation, but it is really fun if you like quirky, rustic situations. It's in a old town with only a few residents. The hot springs are channeled into a big greenhouse full of tropical plants and grape vines (they ask you not to eat them). There are several tanks with different temp water. Not fancy... More
