The house was closed when we visited in the height of the tourist season! It also seemed that it was permently closed to the public unless you paid to hire the house. Sad really because it looked great looking through the windows. We

Located on the historic officers row of century old houses, General Marshall was the only U.S. General in history to be awarded a Nobel Peace Prize. Even a recent Secretary of State has stayed here.

The Marshalls only lived there two years, but the house holds exhibits from their stay along with gorgeous, fully restored ground floor of rooms. It’s a treat for antique lovers, while also honoring the important contributions of George C. Marshall.

Such a relaxing and informative walk along Officers Row. The Marshall house was as nicely kept up as all the others. Plaque explains it's history at the street side.

This place is amazing! Beautiful Victorian style houses, in a park like setting. Many of the houses now converted or use different as business offices, but still beautiful to look at. Bring a pic-nic and hang out across the street at the park area.

Perfect setting of polished wood, and plaster walls from another century for those really really special events! Only drawback: Parking is limited, so you might suggest car pooling.
