This small collection of buildings no longer resembles the massive fort that was here in the 1890s. What made this a 5 was the two excellent and passionate guides. The first knew, at the level of reciting, the Sitting Bull history. The second took us...More

There wasn't a lot of the Fort left to see, but we had a fun and interesting visit. The tour guides, especially Arch, were very informative and extremely entertaining and made the visit a worthwhile experience.

The original fort was small and walled. The current fort closed in 1895 was much larger and not walled. A few buildings remain and the docent does a fair job of explaining the fort's evolution. The soldiers buried in the cemetery were moved to Little...More

The site is well cared for and easily accessed. It's a good place to relax, picnic or even camp. The cemetery is the biggest story.

If you do nothing else, stop by the cemetery. The headstones are unique and identify the causes of death...which are interesting from a historical standpoint and also socially. The rebuilt barracks are awesome also

While most of the fort is gone the remaining buildings give you a small peak into what life was like for soldiers living in a fort. There are some real interesting items in the buildings and the folks giving the tour point these out and...More

We thought there would be more there. Had to travel a distance to find 3 buildings. No one was around to even let us know what was there. Very small location.
