I gave Fort Union five stars, but keep in mind it is a small historic site -- a good one. We arrived early and had the place to ourselves. We allowed an hour to visit, but two would be better. We got the orientation talk...More

If you are interested in western history or the Santa Fe trail, this is a worthwhile stop. The staff was very knowledgeable, the bookstore selection was good and the setting is spectacular. I enjoyed it.
