Devoted to the art of today, the contemporary Jepson Center links Telfair’s future with its past, unifying the museum’s three distinct sites. The building, designed by Moshe Safdie and opened to the public in 2006, features over 7,500 square feet of gallery space for major traveling exhibitions of contemporary art and installations of works from the permanent collection. Educational programming takes place in the 220-seat auditorium, community gallery, education studios, and ArtZeum—a unique, 3,500-square foot interactive gallery for children and families.

It’s a few years since I’ve visited Savannah and remembered enjoying my visit to the Jepson Center. This time I was underwhelmed and disappointed. The building is imaginative and full of light but I felt there just wasn’t enough art to see this time and...More

We purchased the three museum package, and this was one of them. The biggest attraction is the girl statue from the movie Midnight of Good and Evil. I am not much of a fan of art museums but this one was pretty nice, especially the...More

I visited all 3 of the Telfair Museums in one package price. It was a great way to see top attractions in the City.

We really enjoyed the Jepson. The exhibits took an interesting approach or gave a lot of context and information--the special Rodin exhibit had a lot of information about the casting process and how Rodin's apprentices were involved in the creations of his sculpture, another exhibit...More

We were pleased to be there when the exhibits included the Carrie Mae Weems Sea Island Series featuring Gullah culture, and the Paul Stephen Benjamin exhibit Reinterpreting the Sound of Blackness. Both stretched our understanding of worthy themes. The architecture heightened awareness. Go see this...More

Exhibits were eclectic and well done but not our favorite stop in Savannah. We went for the architecture tour which they no longer give.

I visit the Jepson several times a year, and I always enjoy my time spent there. Their exhibits rotate every several months, so there is always something new to view. In addition, the Jepson also hosts movie screenings and festivals throughout the year, which I...More

We saw the special Rodin exhibit and there was also Kahlil Gabrin which was interesting. there is a lot of other art. You have to buy a ticket for 3 this museum and the Telfair and the Owens Thomas. they are all very good.
