Devoted to the art of today, the contemporary Jepson Center links Telfair’s future with its past, unifying the museum’s three distinct sites. The building, designed by Moshe Safdie and opened to the public in 2006, features over 7,500 square feet of gallery space for major traveling exhibitions of contemporary art and installations of works from the permanent collection. Educational programming takes place in the 220-seat auditorium, community gallery, education studios, and ArtZeum—a unique, 3,500-square foot interactive gallery for children and families.

We enjoyed the Jepson very much. We were able to see the Telfair also but not the Owens Thomas house. But we did feel that we got our money's worth for the two. It is small but the exhibits we saw were very good and introduced us to several artists we were not familiar with. The Nick Cave exhibit is... More

We visited Jepson and Telfair, but did not have time to see Owens house. You have to buy ticket for all 3, and at $20 pp it was not really worth it. We primarily went to Jepson to see Bird girl statue from the movie. That was a bit disappointing because she was just standing in the middle of a... More

this is an expensive museum, and there really isn't much of interest there is quite a lot of abstract art, but nothing that seems to bear any relevance to Savannah or its culture and history there were a lot of children there when we visited, interacting with the art, which is all very well, but means it is not ideal... Thank you for your comments. We hope that you were able to visit all three Telfair Museum sites- Jepson Center, Owens-Thomas House, and Telfair Academy- which are all included in the price of admission. Each site presents very different Savannah experiences including the oldest museum in the South as well as one of the newest. More

Cost was exorbitant for this gallery. We were treated extremely rudely by staff. Don't waste your money or time. Nothing to see for the price ($20+ Per person) at all. Would NEVER recommend this place to anyone.

I visited Savannah to take an art class that was put on by the Telfair Museum. Everyone that I talked to before I got there was really helpful. The first day of the class we got a private tour of one of the exhibitions. The day after the class was over I went back and visited the entire museum. It... More

This museum was smaller than I expected. It just has a few exhibits. But it is a cool building (very opposite of everything else in the Historic District) and it is a joint ticket with the Telflair, plus one historic house tour.

A well curated home/museum in historic Savannah. Docent tours are available but we missed one and didn't have time to wait for the next. The Telfair home has well written information in every room, but I would have liked more information about the art collection that a docent might have given. Lovely setting and a great spot for a rainy... More

This museum was lovely. You do't need a ton of time to go through it, but what you do see is very nice. They had some fun exhibits and I really enjoyed some of that staff that I spoke to in the classroom/interactive make and take area. It is small, but that's okay. They seem to do a good job... More

Great set of three museums to visit in Savannah. Classic, modern and historical sites with fantastic exhibits. We really enjoyed this museum for the displays of children's art, active classes and visiting students. We got to see the Russian ceramic and related items on display. Some exhibits change so check to see what they are going to exhibit.

Interesting museum designed by Safdi. Place to see the original Bird Girl. Saw a fabulous exhibit of Nick Cave's work which I would highly recommend. Good to see the mixing of modern in what is mostly an old city.
