What fun!

Loved it! A fun experience. Getting to sit in and move around in that old steam locomotive was great fun.

The museum and staff were excellent. This was a great way to spend a couple of extra hours. The guide gave us a great tour of the luxury cars and the whole family loved the ride in the steam engine. Hand car was also great fun.

This is a working train museum with operating attractions: not really a train ride, tho. Tours of the historic roundhouse run throughout the day and are repeated in case you miss one. Pick up a schedule as soon as you ener. This is right behind the Savannah Welcome Center where all the Trolley Tours stop. Just walk past the Savannah... More

We stopped here with some friends while visiting the area. This museum isn't overly large. But they have an operating turntable that you can ride on, which may be unique among railroad museums. The train ride is short, but hosted by a friendly, knowledgeable conductor. Their rolling stock exhibit has a variety of steam engines, freight, passenger and utility cars.... More

The Georgia State Railroad Museum is interesting, but doesn't have a lot of rolling stock or equipment on display compared to similar museums. The staff provides guided tours of some of the passenger cars on display at certain times during the day. The buildings and turntable are interesting, as are some of the other displays in out buildings. The museum... More

This place is awesome. The kids around us loved this place. The children's area is superb. We bought our tickets. They are good for 3 days in a row. We spent time here then went out to eat at a nearby Cuban Restaurant. We will return Sunday just to ride their train. Free parking.

This is at an original and historic train station no longer operating for passengers, but if you love steam engines and locomotives, they are all here for you to see up close. Go into a passenger car to see how travel used to be. The pass is good for 3 days, I'll bet you get your monies worth!

Even if you don't like trains I would suggest stopping to see this attraction. The staff are very polite and knowledgeable about the trains and the history of the town. Take a step back in time.

This was a great experience for me and my family. We came here because my nephew loves trains and he had a blast. He loved the fact that he could ride on a train as well as check out a train from the past. We enjoyed all the history that surrounded us as well as learned.
