The Salt Table is an Unforgettable Tasting Experience Upon entering The Salt Table, you'll discover why Trip Advisor reviewers rank The Salt Table tops in Savannah Shopping. The aroma of the salts and seasonings will wake up your taste buds. You'll be encouraged to taste the salts and seasonings, and over 200 other flavors as well. Teas. Sugars. Oils. Vinegars. Popcorns. And, Vanillas. The Salt Table is not a franchise. It's is a unique, local brand of unique food enhancement products that are hand-blended and packaged right here in the Savannah area. You will taste the freshness. During your visit "Flavor Consultants" will provide suggestions for use, or you can explore at your own pace. The most common word heard as customers sample is "Wow." Black Truffle Salt or Ghost Pepper Salt are high on that list. "MMMMM", is uttered when one samples the Strawberry Peach Lemon Tea. Many of the dip blends are provided for sampling. Leak Dip and Loaded Baked Potato Dip are current favorites. Tuscan Bread Dipping blend and Garlic Butter when mixed with olive oil are, " just amazing." "In most stores, smell and tasting is limited to a few items, if any. Our customers are invited to test and enjoy just about everything. What a novel idea!" says Carol Legasse, co-founder. 'We make it easy by providing sampling stations throughout the store." Salt Table's Flavor Consultants roam the store, conducting impromptu "Salt Talks" and demonstrations of the very popular Himalayan Salt Plates. These make excellent cutting boards, or, when heated to 500 degrees, they're used as cooking surfaces. In addition to samples, cups of specially brewed iced tea and fresh gourmet popcorn by the bag are available on the spot. In the 'Georgia Room' - the new addition downstairs - The Salt Table offers highly awarded Georgia wines to sample or by the bottle as well as Georgia made products such as pecans, ginger products, rice and grits, honey, coffee, oils and balsamic vinegars. Hand crafted pottery made specifically for The Salt Table by local potters are on display. The new, wine tasting bar in the new lower level of the shop provides an excellent introduction of the fine dry red and white wines from North Georgia mountains as well as the sweet low country fruit wines. Local artists present their work for sale including pottery and framed photography with scenes of Savannah and the coastal area of Georgia. Savannah is known for its unique shops and boutiques, but a few stand out as a must do. The Salt Table in the historic district of Savannah is on the top of that list - a truly one-of-a-kind experience. You'll quickly understand why this shop has garnered so many 5-star reviews and accolades.

It's a cool little Shop, obviously by the name you can tell there will be a lot of salts which is cool but the real jem is downstairs. When you walk down the stairs you find yourself in a room filled with wines, balsamics, sauces amoungst other things that are all locally sourced in GA. We were assisted by Matthew... More

The gentlemen who works there explained all the salts to us and named a lot of his favorite-which of course I brought all he recommended. Had been back 2 weeks from vacation and I am enjoying my salt.

This is the story of Chuck, the Christmas Chicken. A tale that began when we discovered that The Salt Table had opened a store in our area! We have loved the products that they sell since we came across their store in Savannah a couple of years ago. My husband and I had already added Chuck to our Christmas Dinner... More

Wow, what a great recipe! And thanks so much for making Carol's famous All 'Round Good Grinder been a significant ingredient. People love that "ARG" is good on just about everything. ARG is awesome in great meals, like your's as well as a simple grind on salads, eggs, soups, burgers, and even cottage cheese. The uses are endless. We sincerely... More

I visited there about 2 weeks ago with some friends thinking that it was all about salt found out that they were offering wine tastings. My friends and I decided to indulge a little and we are so glad that we did. The young lady, Sheri, was great. It felt more like a girls night out rather than the regular... More

We wandered in The Salt Table thinking it would be a quick in and out. We were mistaken. The folks were friendly and helpful, encouraging us to try this and that. Fabulous place for a cook!

I made a point to go here after hearing about this when visiting friends in South Carolina. What a heaven for the discerning cook. I have never seen so many different kinds of salts and seasonings, all packaged in several sizes to accommodate the restrained....I couldn't resist the Bacon-flavored salt. In addition, there are teas and spices that call out... More

Seeing that this store was listed on culinary tours (and not having time to take an organized tour), we made the Salt Table a priority (then barely had time to visit the morning we were leaving the city). Though rushed, we got to sample several salts and sugars, finding the right ones to take home for an edible souvenir ...... More

We love to eat and cook, therefore always visit local food specialty stores when we travel. This is one of best, if not THE best!
