Full of history, charm, and culture. Our 3 1/2 day stay was not enough. Will Definitely return. Lots of charming squares dot the area, with a bit of history at each. Easy to walk just about anywhere, but not always "handicap friendly" due to curbs and uneven cobblestone sidewalks and streets.

Had time for only a short mostly drive through tour, but delightful arrchitecture and especially enjoyed the park sqaures designed by Oglethorpe many centuries previous and most still remaining all these years later.

There is something for everyone in the historic district. Fancy art stores, tattoo parlors, cheap eats, fancy dining, desserts, shopping, history, carriage rides, ghost tours...everyone, no matter the age or interest, can find something they'd enjoy in the Savannah Historic District. I highly recommend a tour upon arrival to get an idea of what's around and what you might want... More

Really enjoyed this trip & was pleasantly surprised with the accessibility of the Historic District. It is actually totally walkable if you don't mind covering some ground. We visited several of the Historic Homes & the Cathedral & enjoyed them all. Lots of restaurants available but be careful to avoid the obvious tourists traps.

I was very disappointed, I was expecting to see Beautiful old Southern Mansions... Driving around Savannah I found it to be dirty with many unkept trailer parks visible. Not what I expected...

What can we say - my husband and I fell in love with the charm, history and friendly people of Savannah. The squares, fountains and monuments are beautiful. It is such an easy, walking city. We can't wait to return

Historic Savannah is a walker's paradise. I did the entire city on-foot with only a walking guide. I supplemented my visit by individually taking home tours when I was interested in doing so. Loved it.
