The historic district is full of beautiful houses and parks. Lined with bars and restaurants throughout, this area is fun to visit! Just want aimlessly and enjoy the houses.

Savannah is a perfect example of how well preserved a town can be. The layout of the historic district is pretty unchanged from the original design of the 1700's. Interesting to see the various architectural styles and the squares. All of the locals are aware of and appreciate the history of Savannah. I have no hesitation in recommending to any... More

No matter which season you visit Savannah, this charming area is simply gorgeous. Meander through the 22 squares, picnic in Forsyth Park, grab a cup of coffee at a local cafe and stroll through cozy lanes and cobblestones paths that are strewn throughout.

Such a variety of things to see and do! Plan to spend the day walking, but it's only about a 20 minute walk from one end of the district to the other. The architecture is amazing and the squares and parks are beautiful. Because of the mild winter, all the azaleas were in full bloom a little bit early, so... More

My wife and I loved the feel and atmosphere of the historic district. Everything is I. Walking distance, great places to eat, learn or just relax. SCAD gives it a youthful feel to a historic town

Had a great time walking through the city's parks! The live oaks are magnificent. The camillias are still blooming and the azaleas are coming out. So much history in this wonderful city, too. We walked most of our first day, and then took a trolley tour. Highly recommended to get the full story. Visited several museums and walked River Street.... More

This was probably my 4th or 5th time visiting Savannah with friends, this time for a wedding, and the Historic District is always a hit. I recommend it to anyone looking for some ambience and time to spare. So many of the buildings and squares have interesting stories associated with them, it is nice to be able to take your... More

What is not to like about the Historic District.....it is beautiful. Starting with the vegetation....gorgeous trees, manicured shrubs, lawns and flowerbeds. Secondly, the architecture of the buildings...all wonderfully brought up to date to demonstrate their majestic qualities. The Historic District was designed to highlight their squares..22 in total - each one being specifically unique. No two squares are alike. Our... More
