Just seeing history is exciting, and BEAUTIFUL. A slow trolley or carriage trip is best. I am from the north, and seeing Spanish Moss is wonderful.

While my husband worked we enjoyed wandering shops: bought clothes (her) books (me) and gifts then a light lunch at Cafe M on Factors walk. A delightful morning

An easy to get around area that is a wonderful mixture of old and new. Old in the sense of the buildings and homes and history at every turn. New in the sense of multiple unique eateries all serving up a wide variety of foods....More

This is a nice walking strip to do- has plenty of shops, eateries, and hotels. Spend the afternoon strolling down the river front. No recommend for those who needed assistance with walking (canes, wheelchairs, etc) as there is no handicap access down to the riverfront.

The trolley is the best way to see and take photos. Hop on and off or take from the open window. Rest, enjoy, have fun.

No tour is necessary. I've found that it is helpful to ride one of the hop on / hop off buses to get a quick overview of the historic district. That way, you get the lay of the land and spend your time seeing what most... More

I stayed 3 days as well. Some trolleys you can hop on and off as needed, not sure about HOHO. Visit St John the Baptist Cathedral, eat at Mirabelle's in front. Walk to River St, on your way visit Pink House and Juliette... More
