This pathway, along the river, was very enjoyable. Granted, we had decent weather in February, and the streets and stores were not packed with tourists during our visit. The sun was shining and the temps were in the low 70s. There was history to see and tours to take, all to be captured on camera. There were cool (and unique)... More

My visit coincided with St Paddy's day and the riverfront is party central. I rode a bike there around 9am when the city was just coming back to life the day after the parade. There is a nice brick walkway right along the river but alas I could not ride along it due to the pavilions and barricades set up... More

Stop for a beer at Dub's, Shawn is the best. Had the cheese dip with a pretzel...oh so good. Then continue on to the next shop or restaurant or the park to view the water. River St., a great place to enjoy a walk.

Lots of shops, restaurants, pubs, plus a market and scenic views of the Savannah River - on different levels in restored buildings and warehouses. We loved the atmosphere! But watch your step crossing the street!

Our hotel was very near so we walked along the water each day during our visit. There are plenty of restaurants and bars and it's nice for people watching. I liked the old buildings and how the city has tried to keep its history alive.

Beautiful place to see. The walking is a little difficult but fun all the same. The stores and restaurants are fun to go in and out of.

I travel to Savannah often. The plaza is someplace I visit each time I go to Savannah. If you like to watch people this is the place to go.
