The riverfront is a beautiful place to visit. Shopping, eating, tours and nightlife, the riverfront has it all. A must visit whole in Savannah.

This was an interesting spot to sit back and people watch. Lots of the very touristy shops and eateries. Make sure to wear good shoes because the cobblestone can be tough on your feet. This is a great spot to see a sunset!

This was my first visit to Savannah. My husband had been here several years ago. He was very surprised and disappointed to see the development along River Walk - big hotels, restaurants, and tourist shops. It's still interesting to watch the activity on the water....More

River Street offers a variety of excellent restaurants. We chose a seafood one that specialized in southern style cooking, but there are others from which to choose. The views are wonderful. Watching the big ocean going ships float by was fascinating. There are some nice...More

River Street is the place to go. It is composed of the original buildings from the early days of Savannah. The shops, restaurants, and hotels are housed in the original cotton sorting buildings. The streets are made of the stones that were used as ballast...More

Everyone goes down to River Street. There are ice cream shops, beer (open container law here which for those of you unfamiliar with that term like I was coming from WI, you get to walk around with libations... anywhere in Savannah actually) tons of trinkets...More

The weather was great and the eclectic nature of the district was really nice. Parking is an issue. Luckily, we were able to find a spot that was vacated as we arrived. Bring funds for parking. It is not very expensive.

Visited for a day and night on the way home from an Orlando Florida vacation. Drove to River Street to find that the parking was free (after 5 pm). Walked around with the wife patronizing the many different stores (clothing, candy, ice cream, souvenirs, etc.)...More

We only tried 2 on the river. fiddler's Crab House & Huey's. Both were good. outside of that, our worst meal was at Lady & Son's (it wasn't bad; but it wasn't great). The Old Pink House is a must!
