River street is full of shops that range from touristy knick nacks & souvenirs to original local art & jewelry. There are tons of restaurants along the street and many places to stop for a great river view and photo opportunity. Sunset is especially nice.

While this is a main drag for downtown Savannah, spend your time learning and strolling about the history of Savanna, rather then fighting the crowds, being forced to walk in the congested street. There is a candy store worth your time, but you miss to...More

I would consider this the times square of savannah. Definitely tourist driven but cute shops and lots of restaurants. It's fun to walk along the river and hop on the free ferry.

River Street is the place to be. Make sure to visit Wet Willy's for an Attitude Adjustment! The street is difficult to walk on so plan wearing flats while adventuring or falling flat on your face.

We only tried 2 on the river. fiddler's Crab House & Huey's. Both were good. outside of that, our worst meal was at Lady & Son's (it wasn't bad; but it wasn't great). The Old Pink House is a must!
