There are many businesses along the river. It is amazing to see the cargo ships here. You can eat, shop, and enjoy the ambiance of the river here.

I recommend walking one direction along the actual river front and walk back along the sidewalk past the shops, eateries, and taverns. Some buildings well over 150 years old.

We enjoyed the Riverboat Tour, where we heard about Savannah's history. We also visited the shops on River Street and dined at one of the restaurants. Its worth visiting!

The river street Savannah has something for everyone young or old. It is beautiful. Boats, ferries, Restaurants, Stores and bars. Get there early. You will enjoy every minute. Ther is so much to see and do.

You can bring your dog to the waiking area but you’ll need to find out if the actual places you are going to accept dogs. Savannah is very dog friendly, that’s one of the things I love about it.
