We went this afternoon when we thought the rain had cleared. Unfortunately we were wrong and got stuck in the rain. The bugs after that were very overwhelming even with bug spray. We had to speed through the place trying to get away from the...More

A wonderful educational experience. Although some of the animals were missing because of habitat repairs, the center was great with lots of boardwalk trails. Especially nice was Ledbetter Pond with 30 or so big white shore birds (cranes or egrets) nesting in the treetops.

It costs $5 a person including kids, but it is so worth it. You would need a long time to see everything here- this place is way bigger than I expected!! I originally went to take my daughter to one of their "toddler Tuesday" programs,...More

We're so happy to hear that you enjoyed your visit and our Toddler Tuesday program! Children attending the toddler program are $5 each but if you bring your daughter back just to walk the trails she's free (if under 4 y.o.). Children 4-17 are $3...More

This was a good place to spend a couple of hours, they had several animals but more would have made it more interesting. They also had a couple of old homestead houses, but you couldn't go in them. All in all it was good to...More

We are a family of animal lovers so it's no surprise that we had to check this out. The animals were neat to such and it's an easy walk around the whole center. The animals appeared healthy.

We would compare with the zoo at Brookgreen Gardens, Myrtle Beach NC. This is fine but not many animals. The cougar was awesome, walked right up to the glass viewing area. Lots of repairs & upkeep going on so they would benefit from more funds/donations....More

This is a great place to visit. There was one area of the park still not open because of a storm but the hiking was easy and we had a perfectly warm sunny day!

Nice day trip to see the animals, walk through the natural environment and get away from town. Just wish the Board of Education could fund them enough to complete the Fox enclosure. Go visit and help them out! You won't be sorry.
