Nothing special unless your take a special interest in the history of Savannah and the south. Otherwise you better go to the Bonaventure Cemetery.

I went on a tour that started here at night, so I went ahead of time to make sure I knew where it was. Lucky for me, because the tour started after the cemetery closed. It's definitely worth a stop, day or night.

If you want to know a towns past go to a Cemetery. It was interesting. There were many of the head stones on the outside edge of the cemetery and the stories are very interesting.

This cemetery has lots of history and is beautiful to walk around. You will notice most people buried there didn't live very long. Times were hard back in the day.

Full disclosure, I'm odd and go to cemeteries everywhere I travel. That said, definitely worth a stop. Well maintained historical spot.

We first learned of this cemetery during our The Beyond Good and Evil Tour. We met here in the evening, but you cannot tour inside the cemetery at night. So, we returned the next day and walked through it. It is quite lovely with lots...More
