Pleasant walk to read epitaphs and see the colonial graves. It is free and close to other historic areas such as the catholic cathedral

You can't go inside the cemetery at dark, so if you want to stroll around inside and read some of the headstones, be sure to go during the day. There's always tour groups visiting and telling stories, so you might get lucky and get to...More

The most historic place we saw in our swing through the south. This cemetery is so old that it stopped having burials in 1853. It is now a well kept park.

I happened to see a little square on my map of Savannah with the word "Cemetery" and was sure it would be a fascinating place to visit. The grounds are spacious and the history is well documented on the markers throughout and quite powerful

One of the most interesting cemeteries I have been to. Nice walk through history and to see how culture of the time changed

An interesting collection of headstones and other assorted markers including some notable figures of history. There were some good information boards but I would have liked to have done a tour here with a docent to find out more information.
