Loved how beautiful this cemetery was. Very old and had so much history. Very large could have spent the whole day there.

We were about the only people there when we went during the week. Only saw groundskeepers. It was so serene as you would expect. Graceful old trees and well kept grounds. Interesting headstones.
Our tour guide was chock full of information about the cemetery and the local area. One word of caution: cover up when you go. We were bitten alive by all the sandgnats!

This place is so magical and full of rich, Southern history. Tours are free and it easy to navigate on your own. Wheelchair and stroller accessible.
Cemeteries are always sad, but this one is gorgeous and holds so much history on its grounds. A visitor can get caught up in here for several hours.
