The grounds were in pretty rough shape, and the mansion was just open, no lights on or anything. I thought there might be a brochure or something, but there wasn't. Everything opens at different hours too.

The arboretum is a bit small, and not too exotic, you can take your time and still spend less then 1 hour which is good for small childrens attention. Ample parking. You can spend more time walking thru the park outside. Admision is a $5...More

This place is truly beautiful. A great place to go on a stroll or to just chill. Our family actually came here with a professional photographer and took family pictures. Puctures were stunning

Year round, Cylburn is a great place to get outdoors...quiet trails, diverse plants/trees make it enjoyable even when flowers aren't in bloom...when they are it's amazing!

This is a beautiful area. It's surprising to see in the middle of a large city. The gardens were well maintained and spacious. There is also a wooded area with some trails for moderate hiking. There were some very beautiful flowers blooming in the gardens....More

From the Cylburn's FAQ page: Yes, picnicking is allowed for small groups. Grills are not permitted. There are picnic tables near the mansion (which may not be reserved) and you may picnic around the grounds.
