One of the most poignant memorials. The sculpture really depicted the horror of the mass terminations. The plaque actually noted that although many were "just following orders" there is no record of anything happening to those who chose not to.

It was pretty sad, but its history, so always good to read about history. Just a little memorial that we walked by and we just had to stop.

We happened across this memorial while walking back to our daughter's apartment one evening. Maybe it was the lighting and the fact we were startled but it sort of took my breath away. This isn't the Holocaust Museum in DC; it's a statue. You can...More

We stumbled on the memorial by accident. It's located away from the tourist-friendly Inner Harbour and it's very poignant. It does seem a bit incongruous and bare among city buildings but it's a meaningful memorial to a very tragic period of history.

We happened upon the memorial by accident. The area appears to have been taken over by homeless people, and it struck me as sad that a memorial designed to be alienating, austere, and bleak would be an attractive place for sleeping rough. The wall with...More

I hadn't really thought of Baltimore as a place likely to have a Holocaust Memorial as was quite taken at how simple and poignant it is. A Flat open space with a wall at the back with simple quotes that sum up the horror of...More

We saw the Holocaust Museum yesterday and happened to see there's a Holocaust Memorial in Baltimore. The sculpture is powerful as well as the quotes. I am glad we stopped. Even though it is located in a strange part of town it was still worth...More
