I really enjoyed the museum. It tells the story of African-American life in the United States, both through the stories of prominent figures and more generally. Make sure you don't miss the likeness of President Obama, which is in a room off to the side away from the bulk of the exhibits. My only regret is that I didn't have... More

Unbelievablely awesome. They have taken great detail to the characters that look life like as well as describing their contributions to history.

The museum itself is awesome and at the same time heart breaking viewing the things that took place however it is worth every penny. I am not sure if it has relocated since my last visit but I wish it was situated in a more appealing neighborhood. There was only side street parking. This place could draw more attention and... I actually took a group 10 years ago from the Eastern Shore (did not let me select that far back). The kids really seemed to take something from it-- as did I. Worth the trip! Even if is just you-- go-- learn the often ignored history.

I've been going to Great Blacks in Wax since I was a kid and have been able to appreciate the museum from many perspectives. While the museum does need serious help and funding, I would even go so far to say its historical value MATCHES that of the newest Museum of African American history in Washington, DC taking into consideration... I visited the museum with my husband and a friend while in Baltimore for a wedding. I would. It revisit. I don't think the museum is worth the admission price but I think they're intentions are good. The wax figures are extremely dated and some are in degenerative states. Some of the figures also are unrecognizable and do not look... More

This was one of the best museums I've ever been to. To see historic black figures was so inspiring. I was beyond impressed. FYI - parking is a nightmare, but this place is worth the hassle.

The Museum was interesting in many ways, location, surroundings and actual exhibits. The museum is small which limits viewing space for large groups.

Great concept and committed staff. This place could use serious upgrading even possibly relocating. The messages and imagery very powerful. This place very relevant and obviously needs substantial financial backing for necessary renovations. Parking also challenging. Although an out of state visitor would love to see this place prosper and rise to its potential of being one of Baltimore shining... More
