We went with my brother and really enjoyed walking around on the water and enjoyed the historical buildings. It was a cool breezy day, but we were moving the whole time. Definitely good for some exercise too, and in a gorgeous spot.

This is a national treasure. One of the best. This is the birth place of our National Anthem by Francis Scott Key. When you tour the grounds, you can imagine what our troops went through battling the British. Pack a lunch or buy refreshments there....More

Fort McHenry is a wonderful place to take a walk along the water, see the historic fort and visitor center, and watch birds. I have seen the following birds: osprey, great blue heron, night heron, cormorant, herring gull, coopers hawk, common yellow throat, goldfinch, chickadee,...More

Purchase a National Parks Pass for $10.00 if you are over 62 years of age. Gets you and up to 4 additional guests (I think) into every National Park for free. Best ten bucks we ever spent!
How much time should we budget for our visit? Is 3 hours enough? Also is there food there? Thx.

I am a Senior who walks using a cane and cannot walk great distances, even though there are benches for resting. Are there any "vehicles," that would provide a tour? Some sites have "golf carts," employee driven and charge, which I would be very happy to pay for? Thank you.

No, they don't have any scooters, or motorized vehicles. I to have problems getting around. I have taken my power chair there. It gets into most of the places, but it can't get into some parts of the fort.
