While we did experience much larger crowds this visit, it is still quite impressive and beautiful. A wonderful learning experience for all. Both my 9 yr old and 3 yr old enjoyed their visits. The only reason I only gave 4 of 5 stars is because the cost of admission is a little steep for a family.

This is a very good aquarium. The main exhibit -- a circular reef tank that is several stories high is fantastic. The only problem is that is often gets very crowded.

You can rush through this wonderful aquarium or you can take a deep breath, relax and melt into the water with the fish. I recommend the latter. It is wonderful. Well staged. Great veiwing areas. Interesting, diverse species. Be a kid again..ask questions. The docents are full of knowledge are want to share it. Take a deep breath and just... More

Start at the top and work your way down the building. The only disappointment we encountered was the lack of a dolphin show. The tank is attached to the main building by a long hallway. After reaching it and sitting in the theatre for 30 minutes, no show materialized.

For years now, the Atlantic Edge dive shop in Gaithersburg Maryland has been running SCUBA dive trips to the National Aquarium in Baltimore. As a highly experienced and widely traveled SCUBA diver I couldn't decide if I thought this was the lamest thing ever, or the coolest. Well, as my kids gave me a gift certificate to do this activity... More

We joined the aquarium in 2004 and fell in love! This place is AWESOME! Exhibits change periodically, so there is ALWAYS something new to see. Kids and adults love this place. The shark tank is my favorite place. You go frequently from looking the top and seeing turtles and stingrays to eventually going down 2 or 3 stories to being... More

Nice get away with the grandson. Lots of interesting exhibits. Many different fish, sharks, great rainforest with different birds. Admission is expensive, but well worth it. Try getting coupon online.
